Iraqi parliament speaker congratulates Larijani

In a message published in the Iraqi media on Thursday, Al-Jabouri wrote, 'I present my greetings on the occasion of your Excellency’s re-election as speaker of Islamic Republic parliament (Majlis).'

The Iraqi parliament speaker also wished success and progress for Larijani and the Iranian nation.

Al-Jabouri underlined the importance of strengthening bilateral relations in all fields, and added that to this end needs continuation of more coordination between the two neighboring countries, especially in the fight against terrorism and extremism.

Ali Larijani was re-elected as speaker of the parliament on Wednesday.
