This cultural program was launched by the Cultural Attaché Office of the Iranian Embassy in Georgia in cooperation with the Consulate General of Iran in Batumi and Shota Rustaveli State University.
The cultural program underway in Adjara Republic also includes a painting exhibition by Ms. Hura Pishqadam and Rana Saeedi, two Iranian artists residing in Georgia, and the screening of the three Iranian films of "Narges Season" directed by Negar Azerbaijani, "Appendices" directed by Hossein Namazi and "Azar, Shahdokht, Parviz and others" directed by Behrouz Afkhami (dubbed in Georgian language).
Hamid Mostafavi, Iran's Cultural Attaché in Georgia, pointed to the deep historical and cultural relations between Iran and Georgia, and said that today, the two countries have vast economic, scientific and cultural capacities and capabilities to strengthen bilateral relations, and the proper understanding of these capacities and the proper planning for deepening of cultural relations is an essential step in expanding and deepening relationships in different dimensions.
He noted that "one of the key elements for developing sustainable relations between countries is the cooperation between universities and scientific and educational centers through the implementation of educational and cultural programs, in particular the development of Country Studies seats, holding training courses, conferences and joint research in recognition and enhancement of cultural commonalities and history play an important role.
The Cultural Days of the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue in the city of Batumi until June 7.
