Iranian envoy meets with Hezbollah sec-gen

Boroujerdi, head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, arrived in the Lebanese capital on Friday at the head of a parliamentary delegation.

During the meeting, which was also attended by Iranian ambassador to Beirut Mohammad Fathali, the Iranian envoy and Hezbollah secretary-general discussed the latest developments going on in the region.

Prior to the visit to Beirut, the Iranian delegation paid a two-day visit to Syria where they met with top-ranking Syrian officials, including the country's president, prime minister and parliament speaker.
