Iranian envoy meets Afghan president, chief executive of government

Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs of Afghanistan Hekmat Khalil Karzai also attended the meeting.

Bahrami offered condolences of the Iranian government and nation to President, chief executive, government and people of Afghanistan for the suicide blast that rocked Kabul on Wednesday killing scores of civilians.

He also referred to the meeting of the “Kabul Process”, which is due to be held in the Afghanistan's capital in near future, and said that Iran’s government support the meeting.

Meanwhile, President Ghani appreciated Iranians sympathy over the terrorist act.

He added that Afghanistan is ready to hold dialogue with Iran in the framework of the five cooperation committees which have been previously established by the two capitals to discuss politics, economic and security cooperation.
