Iranian diplomat hails Kuwait's efforts to heal rift in region

The diplomat underscored that the Islamic Republic of Iran entirely supports Qatar’s endeavors to enter negotiations aimed at solving the diplomatic row in the region.

Touching upon the senior Kuwaiti officials’ previous efforts for paving the way aimed at holding political negotiations between Iran and the Persian Gulf member states, he described Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad Al Sabah’ move for settling crises in the region as positive and auspicious.

Echoing the Islamic Republic of Iran’s concerns over the current situation in the region, he said Tehran is keen on adopting proper measures aimed at reinforcing security and tranquility in the region.

The envoy described negotiations as a sole way for settling regional crises, underscoring that imposing sanctions will have no results.

Referring to the recent disputes sparked between the Persian Gulf Arab states, Enayati said holding bilateral negotiations would play a key role in settling such disputes.

The diplomat underscored that Iran attaches great importance to forge amicable ties with its neighboring countries.
