Iran, Venezuela ties to boost further after Rouhani reelection: Envoy

Tehran stresses maintaining relations in the South-South cooperation framework and will try to boost ties with Venezuela, Mostafa A’laei said, according to Venezuelan news sources.

A’laei said that Tehran and Caracas maintain very cordial ties, and that they will continue the path toward deepening ties more.

I hope that by doing so, both countries benefit from their close relations and the opportunities opened up to them, he said.

The Iranian ambassador to Venezuela also welcomed extension of the oil agreement signed in late 2016 between OPEC and non-OPEC countries, stressing that the agreement is going to improve crude oil prices.

A’laei also deplored recent violence in Venezuela and different forms of global terrorism.
