
He made the remarks in a meeting with Hussein Ragheb al-Hussein, a member of the Syrian People Assembly and Deputy Head of the Syrian National Dialogue Commission.
“We take sufferings of the Syrian people as our own and we will continue diplomatic talks to decrease their pains especially in the blocked towns of Al-Fu'ah and Kafriya.”
Jaberi Ansari explained the latest political and diplomatic consultations with the regional and international sides and said, “The Islamic Republic pursues the case of Al-Fu'ah and Kafarya as a top priority in political consultations.”
“Unfortunately, the issues of Al-Fu’ah and Kafarya as one of the outcomes of the current destructive war in Syria have been affected by complex domestic, regional and international factors,' the senior diplomat added.
The Siege of al-Fu'ah and Kefriya refers to the siege of the towns of al-Fu'ah and Kafriya in the Idlib Governorate during the Syrian War. The siege was initiated with a terrorist assault on the capital of the province, resulting in the capture of Idlib.
