Iran top military official to visit Russia this week

While in Russia, Baqeri is expected to take part at a trilateral meeting attended by his Russian and Turkish counterparts in the city of Sochi.

The future of Syria, confronting the Takfiri terrorist groups, as well as exploring ways for fostering trilateral cooperation between the three regional nations are among issues to be discussed during the meeting.

Meanwhile, on Nov 19, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif met his Russian and Turkish counterparts in Turkey to discuss the crisis in Syria.

The tripartite meeting was held in the Turkish southwestern city of Antalya.
