Iran to open interest section bureau in Saudi Arabia

According to the agreement, Switzerland will be in charge of opening the bureau in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Following to severing of ties between Iran and Saudi Arabia in 2016, it was agreed that Switzerland would act as both countries' interest section bureaus.

Switzerland federal council officially approved the move and relative agreement was signed between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Swiss embassy in Iran and Saudi Arabia will handle consulate affairs in both countries for Iranian and Saudi nationals.
