Iran, Russia begin new round of oil talks

After the implementation of the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and the six world powers, the Russian companies signaled readiness to sign agreements with National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and passed behind companies from other countries in this regard.

Managers from Gazprom, Rosneft and Zarubezhnef are presently in Tehran for oil negotiations.

Russia has always been looking at Iran as a strategic ally in the Middle East.

Russian experts believe there is a huge demand for Russian products, including transportation equipment, wood and metals, in the Iranian market. In addition, Iran is regarded as a strategic gateway for commodities needed by Russia.

Russian president is scheduled to visit Tehran in the near future to participate in a tripartite meeting of Iran, Russia and Azerbaijan Republic.
