Iran seeks sharing experience with Japan

Molaverdi made the remarks in a joint press conference with Chairperson of Japanese Foundation for Encouragement of Social Contribution, Akie Abe, in Japan on Tuesday.

The conference was held on the sidelines of the second Iran-Japan joint symposium on women and education.

Molaverdi described the second joint symposium underway in Japan as an opportunity for negotiation about the development and improvement of the women’s conditions in both countries.

Molaverdi also touched on Tehran-Japan relations, saying Iran wants technological cooperation with Japan, which would be of benefit to both.

About the January 27 visa ban, imposed by the US President, Donald Trump, on the nationals of seven Muslim countries, including Iran, Molaverdi said the order was not constructive and will even have negative impact on the American society.

Asked about the new US administration’s stance on the July 2015 nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the vice-president said it is a multilateral agreement approved by the United Nations (UN) Security Council.

Iran has been faithful to its commitments to the deal, and expects the other sides reciprocate, she stressed.
