Iran respects states' sovereignty, non interference in domestic affairs: Spokesman

Qasemi said Iran has declared several times that there is no need to interfere in domestic affairs of other states and has always been committed to good neighborly relations.

Respect for the right of other countries' sovereigny and non-interference in internal affairs of other states are fundamental principles of Iran’s Constitution and all international laws, said the spokesman.

'It is regrettable that heads of a number of Arab and Islamic states, instead of paying attention to the most important problems of the region and the Islamic world and common dangers which are threatening all Islamic states and in spite of all experiences and past lessons, are taking the wrong way and, intentionaly or unintentionally, are making mistakes in recognizing friends and foes.'

On repeating useless claims over the three Iranian islands of Abu Musa, Greater and Lesser Tunbs, Qasemi said the islands are Iranian and will remain Iranian and repeating lies and claims in this case will never change historical realities and Iran considers such claims in different Arab meetings as interference in its domestic affairs and strongly condemns and rejects them.

'It is very regrettable that a number of countries, by destorting realities, are trying to replace Israel with the Islamic Republic of Iran as an ilusory and fictitious enemy. These countries should know that such feeble efforts, which had been imposed on them, will not take them anywhere and the committed crimes of the illegitimate and usurper Zionist regime against Muslims and Arabs will never be forgotten by people of the region, nor by well-informed people all over the world and 'resistance',' struggle’ and ‘ defence’ against invaders will be the hope of the Islamic world for liberation of Palestine and Holy Qods.'

Qasemi underlined again that Iran’s principled policy is based upon an unchangeable basis on all states, especially Islamic, Arab and neighboring countries . This policy is mutual respect for their rights of sovereignty and non- interference in their domestic affairs and developing good neighborily relations.

The 28th Arab League summit 3-day meeting started on Monday with attendance of 18 heads of Arab states in the banks of Dead Sea, 50 kilometers southwest of Amman, capital of Jordan, and wrapped up its work on Wednesday evening by issuing a statement.
