Iran President congratulates China on national day

President Hassan Rouhani in his message to Xi Jinping said, 'I sincerely congratulate your Excellency, the government and the people of China on the 68th anniversary of establishment of the People's Republic of China.'

President referred to the two countries ' historical relations and the two states' plan for consolidation of mutual cooperation and said, 'I hope, we will witness further development of ties between the two great Asian civilizations in all bilateral, regional and international fields.'

'I pray God Almighty for your Excellency’s health and success, as well as the Chinese nation’s prosperity and felicity,' the President's message concluded.

The People Republic of China was founded on September 21, 1949, with a ceremony celebrating the forming of the Central People’s Government on October 1 that year. The Central People’s Government passed the Resolution on the National Day of the People’s Republic of China on December 2, 1949, and declared that October 1 is the National Day.
