Iran Police calls for cyber solidarity to counter terrorists

Iran makes all-out efforts to fight cyber crimes in the international and regional arenas, Brigadier General Hossein Ashtari said in a speech to the three-day Tehran conference attended by cyber officials from Asia and Europe.

During his speech, Iranian Police chief expressed hope that cyber cooperation between members of International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol) and United Nations (UN) Office on Drugs and Crime would lead to creating 'a safe atmosphere' for all users in cyberspace who follow the rules.

He further hoped that today Tehran conference, which opened this morning, would achieve satisfactory and practical outcomes for the participants.

Ashtari also said the Tehran conference is hoped would result in exchanging information and cooperation among police chiefs of all countries will increase through different agreements, treaties and conventions.
