Araqchi made the remarks in an interview with IRNA here on Thursday before attending the Organization of Islamic Cooperation expert meeting in the Malaysian capital.
The senior Iranian diplomat expressed criticism over the tragic events in Myanmar resulting in the killing of Rohingya Muslims.
Araqchi further called on the government of Myanmar to control the situation in that country and prevent crimes committed against Muslims there.
The OIC, according to Araqchi, decided to hold an extraordinary meeting to discuss the tragic events in Myanmar that so far has left many Muslims killed.
It is a norm that wherever the OIC member states come together for any reasons, one of the issues raised by them is the Palestinian issue, Araqchi noted.
So, beside the issue of the Rohingya Muslims which constitutes the main topic of the meeting, the issue of Palestine will be discussed here at the OIC meeting, he said.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif who has left Switzerland for Malaysia to attend the OIC extraordinary meeting on the situation of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar, had earlier said that the current situation in Myanmar is the clear violation of the United Nations fundamental human rights laws.
Zarif has also noted that the actions against Muslims in Myanmar have made concerned the world community as well as the world Muslims.
