Iran missile attack on Daesh message for friends, foes: Syrian expert

Sunday’s missile attack by Iran on the command centers of the Takfiri terrorists in the Syrian city of Deir ez-Zor was another step towards strengthening the axis of Resistance from Tehran to Beirut, Kamal Jafa told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) in an exclusive interview on Tuesday.

Following the IRGC attack on Daesh terrorists, the fight against terrorism is expected to enter a new phase, and it will guarantee a stronger presence by Iran and all other countries of the axis of Resistance that are giving their support for the Syrian Army and people, Jafa noted.

The IRGC successful missile attack, which targeted the terrorist headquarters with zero mistake, shows the start of a new promising and successful phase of countering terrorism by the Islamic Republic of Iran, he said.

The Syrian military expert went on to say that the message of the IRGC attack on Daesh for Washington and its regional allies that provide massive support for the terrorists, was that the Islamic Republic as a powerful supporter of Syria recognizes no red lines as long as they maintain an illegal presence in Syria without doing any coordination with the Syrian government.

In response to those who consider the IRGC assault on the Takfiri terrorists in Syria as Iran’s show of power against the United States, the Syrian expert noted that Washington is well aware of Tehran’s capabilities.

There is no need for Iran to show its power, the Syrian military expert stressed.

According to Jafa, after suspension of the Syria flight safety deal between Russia and the US in April, 2017, and Iran’s successful missile attack on the terrorists, everybody should expect a rise in the power yielded by countries of the axis of Resistance and a widening of their operational scope in their fight against terrorism, Jafa said.
