
Semjén called for enhancement of cooperation between the Iranian and Hungarian cities of Tehran and Budapest, Shiraz and Pécs and Yazd and Jászberény.
He also supported signing sisterhood agreement between Isfahan and other cities in Hungary.
He pointed to increasing economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries, hoping that banking relations between Iranian banks and their Hungarian counterparts will bolster trade engagement.
Meanwhile, the Iranian envoy said that bolstering cooperation is on the agenda of Iran’s mission in Budapest.
Efforts are underway to establish direct flight between Tehran and Budapest and also to promote academic cooperation between the two countries, Yazdi said.
