Iran, Hungary call for further political, parliamentary cooperation

Referring to the outcome of the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban visit to Iran in 2015 and parliament Speaker Laszlo Kover in 2016, Rajabi Yazdi said that the visits were very important in promotion of bilateral relations.

One of the outcomes of the visits was holding successfully the joint economic commission meeting between the two countries last month in Budapest and signing several economic cooperation documents.

Meanwhile, Semjen said one of the grounds for expansion of cooperation between the two countries was in culture and the relations between cities of Iran and Hungary.

Pointing to the great number of Iranian students studying in Hungarian universities and increase in political, economic and tourism visits of the two countries citizens, Janos Latorcai called for establishment of direct flights between Budapest and Tehran, which was welcomed by the ambassador.

The two sides also underlined removal of banking problems and obstacles to increase economic cooperation. They also referred to the political will of senior officials of the two countries for expansion of all-out cooperation and urged the realization of this political intention.
