The diplomat called for acceleration of resumption of the banking ties as the Iranian companies are interested in making investment in Georgia.

For his part, the Georgian premier pointed to the cultural and historical relations between Tbilisi and Tehran, expressing hope that the visit of Zarif to his country would widen the bilateral ties.

He further said his country attaches great importance to Zarif’s travel.
