Iran denounces Spain terrorist attacks

Barcelona was the scene of a deadly terrorist attack, claimed by Daesh (ISIS), on Thursday night in which a car rammed into pedestrians, killing 13 people and injuring more than 100.

In another attack the same night Spanish police were targeted at a check point.

On Friday morning, just hours after the previous attacks, six people were hurt when a car drove into them in Cambrils, 120 kilometres south of Barcelona.

'After consecutive defeats on the ground, the extremist terrorists in the region are extending their blind acts across the world and killing the innocent ordinary people has become among their horrendous goals,' Bahram Qasemi said.

'Islamic Republic of Iran, as a victim of terrorism and a front runner in fighting extremism and terror that has paid a heavy price for it, is ready to help the international community on the sacred path of fighting terrorism,' said the spokesman.

Stressing that the unleashed terrorism is now turned into a global predicament, he added that 'blind terrorism of Daesh (ISIS) is now getting beyond the geographical and ideological borders, and the world with all the people from all over the world, from the Middle East to Africa, and from Far East to Europe are now targeted by their heinous, anti-humanity acts.'

Today, no country, even those that give covert and overt support to the terrorists, does not feel secure from the global dire plight, he said.

Emphasizing that global crises should be resolved by global solutions, Qasemi added that the time had come for all the peace-loving countries in the world and those that topped fighting terrorism on their priorities, to make a global alliance against violence, insecurity and terror, irrespective of possible differences, and confront terrorists.
