He made the remarks in Iran-Azerbaijan trade forum held in Sareyn region, Ardebil province on Thursday.
Statistics shows 70 percent growth in volume of Iran and Azerbaijan Republic economic relations, Vaezi added.
He noted that Iran and Azerbaijan Republic cultural and political relations are improving, too.
Iranian and Azeri investors should use joint cultural, religious and historical commonalities to boost ties, the official added.
He referred to revival of the two countries’ joint economic commission and said that seven meetings between Iranian and Azeri presidents in the past three years and the 8th which is going to be held in Tehran in the next few days can help consolidate the two states’ relations.
Prospect of Iran and Azerbaijan relations is very positive, Vaezi said.
He called for facilitation of customs affairs, border cooperation and focus on non-oil economic partnership.
Vaezi on Thursday met Azerbaijan Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev and attended Iran-Azerbaijan trade forum.
