Iran, Austria discuss technological co-op

The meeting was held by Iran’s Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari and Austria’s Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology Jörg Leichtfried.

Sattari heading a high-ranking delegation arrived in Austria on Tuesday (Feb 28).

According to Sattari’s advisor Parviz Karami, the Austrian minister has welcomed the agreements signed between the two countries during the first day of arrival of the Iranian delegation.

Karami added, Leichtfried hailed Iran’s achievements in the areas of science and technology and expressed support for implementation of mutual agreements.

He said Sattari’s visit to Austria took place in line with a five-year (2016-2021) roadmap for cooperation in technology that has been drawn by Tehran and Vienna.

According to reports, the knowledge-based companies of the two countries have held a business forum, during which the private sectors of the two sides have inked three documents on cooperation.
