Iran arrests more terrorists in connection to Wednesday attacks

Security forces in close cooperation with the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) and police forces have managed to identify other members of the terrorist groups who conducted Tehran attacks on Wednesday and arrested them denying terrorists the chance to take further actions, the report released on Friday said.

In these operations a large number of weapons, explosive devices, suicide vests, communication equipment and fake documents were seized, it said.

According to the report by the Intelligence Ministry, some of terrorist hideouts in northwestern country have also been identified and busted by the security forces.

An operation is underway beyond the borders to identify the terrorist Headquarters and their links to the arrogant powers and their regional proxies, the report said.

Two terrorist groups attacked Mausoleum of the late Imam Khomenini, southern Tehran, and the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) on Wednesday morning, killing 17 people and injuring 52 others.

One of the attackers blew up himself outside Imam Khomeini shrine.

The terrorist group of Daesh (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the fatal attacks in Tehran.
