Iran Army vows support for Palestinians on eve of Quds Day

The Quds Day acts as a reminder for the great Islamic society to think again about its sacred goal and cause to reclaim the inseparable part of the Islamic World which is under occupation by a fabricated regime, the statement reads.

The statement by the Iranian Army then refers to the complicated situation in the West Asia and the sowing of discords in the region by trans-regional powers that have the backing of some hypocritical regional regimes, saying that led by the United States, they try to deviate attention of the international community from the main issue of the Muslim world, namely liberation of Palestine from the Zionist regime.

But freedom-seeking Muslims remain to exercise vigilance in order to slap in the face of global arrogance, foil all their plots and call for putting an end to Zionists occupation, it reads.

It also invites people from all walks of lives to partake in the international event.

International Quds Day rallies are held annually on the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan.

The day of anti-Zionist expression was first declared by late Imam Khomeini, the Leader of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution who established the annual event in order to bring international attention to the Palestinian cause.

Iranians demonstrate their hatred for the Zionist occupiers of the Palestinian territories each year during the Quds Day rallies nationwide and unanimously urge the liberation of the Occupied Lands and make the world hear voice of the defenseless Palestinian people.
