Interior minister, UNHCR official discuss refugee-related issues

After the meeting with the interior minister, the UN high commissioner for refugees are scheduled to hold a joint press conference with Deputy Interior Minister for Security Affairs Hossein Zolfaqari.

He will also attend a ceremony in Tehran later in the day to commemorate the Refugee Day.

Grandi arrived in Tehran on Friday for a two-day visit at the head of a delegation.

The delegation visited Qom in central Iran on the first day of their Iran visit to review refugee-related issues, particularly those related to education of refugees residing in the city.

Grandi also held talks with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
