Indonesian envoy: Iran observes social justice for women

Speaking to IRNA reporter while visiting an exhibition in Maku displaying capabilities of women in the region, he said that Iran has experienced very good progress in various fields and it is expected that these efforts to turn into an exemplary model for women in other countries, mainly women in Indonesia.

Iranian women in Maku have experienced remarkable achievements in handicrafts, foodstuff, commerce, production of leather and household appliances, Octavino said.

The Indonesian ambassador also expressed the hope to witness expansion of cooperation between Maku free trade zone of Iran and Indonesia in various fields.

Iranian and Indonesian people have similar taste in food and through setting up joint food festival, the two countries can broaden scope of their cooperation, Octavino said.

The Indonesian minister of women rehabilitation is to pay an official visit to Maku free trade zone to sign agreement on mutual cooperation in October, he said.
