Human rights not confined to just political or civil rights

Talking in a human rights expert panel between Iran and Denmark on Sunday, he said the social, cultural and economic aspects of human rights is of high importance for Iran as well.

He said other topics like the right for food, right for health and rights of the handicapped are also among the scope of human rights.

Saying that Iran is among few world countries which have devised numerous tools for enhancement of human rights, he stressed that the Iranian Social Welfare Organization for example is a civil society body which is active in rendering services for the handicapped which makes it a human rights institute.

Referring to several rounds of expert human rights talks held between Iran and Denmark, he said Iran is planning to expand this kind of dialogue.
