Heads of Asian media meet in China

The forum, also known as Asia's Davos, is a part of 2018 edition of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) which is attended by the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) managing director Zia Hashemi.

Hashemi, as one of the main guests of the event, is scheduled to deliver a speech at the forum.

The forum is being held in southern Chinese island province Hainan on April 8-11

Launched in 2001, Boao has been considered as a platform to build Asian consensus, promote regional cooperation and advance the continent's influence on the world stage.

At the inauguration ceremony of the forum, that will be attended by hundreds of officials from around the world, Chinese President Xi Jinping will give a speech.
