Greece urges serious campaign against terrorism

Expressing condolences to the Iranian government and nation, families of victims, the Greek ministry denounced terrorist attacks on the parliament and mausoleum of the late Father of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini as a terrorist and inhuman move.

“Athens condemns every terrorist move under any pretext and serious measures should be taken to eliminate the evil phenomenon of the current era,” it said.

Expressing hatred toward the attacks in Tehran, Greek Foreign Ministry also said that the government and nation of Greece are standing alongside the Iranian nation and government under the sensitive circumstances.

According to latest reports on the casualties of the incident, the number of wounded during Tehran terror attack mounted to 46, while the death number is still the same 12 that was reported earlier.

The terrorist group of Daesh (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Terrorists disguised as women entered the Parliament and started a blind shooting rampage in the compound.

Parliament operation ended by security forces who killed three of the terrorists, one of them had detonated himself earlier.

According to an official at the Intelligence Ministry, several terrorist cells had entered Tehran to carry out terrorist operations. Members of one of the cells have been arrested, said the official.

After two coordinated terrorist attacks hit parliament and mausoleum of the late Father of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini in southern Tehran, many messages of condolences poured in from around the world condemning terrorism and calling for pooling efforts to annihilate the evil phenomenon.
