FM: Iran's friendly ties with region important for Oman

At the end of trilateral meeting between foreign ministers of Iran, India and Oman, Bin Alawi in an exclusive interview with IRNA said that 'we seriously pay heed to the issue of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and for Iran's friendly relations with countries of the region as well as other countries like the US and Europe and we believe whatever has been achieved should be kept.'

Given the background of Oman mediation, it was asked whether Oman is ready to play its role again? Bin Alawi said it will be determined in future.

Concerning the trilateral meeting, Bin Alawi said that the three sides exchanged views on different issues, and ways to cooperate in the field of Iran's gas.

He added that problems to transfer gas pipeline in deep waters of Oman Sea and Indian Ocean were discussed in the meeting and it will be continued in the future as well.

Foreign Ministers of Iran, India and Oman; Mohammad Javad Zarif, Sushma Swaraj and Yusuf Bin Alawi held trilateral meeting at the Oman permanent representative office at the UN and discussed economic and trade relations between the three states.
