FM: Grounds for expansion Algeria-Iran cooperation well- prepared

Algerian foreign minister said in a meeting with visiting Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Sunday.

Iran and Algeria have taken positive steps in broadening such cooperation, Messahel said.

The two ministers are to review current developments in Muslim countries, he said.

It is my source of honor to chair the committee in charge of following up the expansion of relations between Iran and Algeria, Messahel said.

Grounds for expansion of cooperation between the two countries are well-prepared, but both sides should help accelerate it, he added.

Iran-Algeria joint committee helped us to reach the conclusion that the two sides possess ample untapped facilities and potentials to attain the goal, Messahel said.

Zarif, heading a high-ranking political delegation, arrived in Algeria on Sunday to confer with the country's high-ranking officials on issues of mutual interest along with global developments.
