Heads of friendship groups at the national parliaments and Senate of France, along with a number of French deputies and senators, met with Deputy Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi on Monday, discussing bilateral, regional and international issues.
Araghchi welcomed the French and European efforts to preserve and implement JCPOA.
He also called on France to confront the US unilateralism while expressing the hope that the efforts by Europe and France to lead to operational solutions.
'With its unilateral and illegal action, the United States has violated the Security Council resolution and encourages or even forces others to violate it,' Araqchi added.
Describing regional policies of Iran, the Iranian deputy foreign minister said, 'Iran's policy is to maintain stability and expansion of the security in the region.
Heads of friendship groups of the National Assembly and Senate of France in a meeting emphasized support of the French parliament for the JCPOA, and said, 'Finding a mechanism for banking exchanges and Iran's benefits from the JCPOA is a necessity and priority, and France follows it seriously.'
French MPs also appreciated Iran's undeniable role in fighting ISIS.
