Elections support for establishment: Iranian-Armenian

With regard to present critical situation in the region, a massive turnout and the widespread reflection of the event in the world media will make Iran proud on the world scene and reinforce its national power, said Vartan Vartanian the Yerevan-based Armenian figure who is quite famous in the Middle East and Eurasia.

“Taking the world tension-filled situation into consideration, the upcoming election in Iran is going to be particularly important,” Vartanian said.

The Armenian community remains to be aware of the fact and intends to show to the world its participation in the election to demonstrated its influential and decisive role in the Islamic Republic of Iran.” he added.

The Armenian figure, also said that the Supreme Leader [Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei] has repeatedly emphasized on the necessity for broad participation of the Iranian people from all walks of life and added that the Armenians will as always be actively participating in the national event.

“I have never felt it was necessary to urge the Armenian community to participate in the elections held in Iran,” he said.

“The Armenian community In Iran partakes in the elections spontaneously and elect the person that is in line with the national interests, prosperity of the people and the development of the country,” Vartanian said.

Referring to Iran as a “safe haven” for the Armenians, he added that “Armenians have participated in all scientific, cultural, economic, and sports fields and they have been especially active in defending the national interests, which was fully demonstrated during the Iran-Iraq War.

“They will always do the same,” he added.

Vartanian also acknowledged all the efforts given to preservation and restoration of the Armenian old relics in Iran, including churches, and added that, “Iran is our beloved country, and it will always be in our hearts.”

In an earlier meeting this week with the students of Persian language and the Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Kazem Sajjadi, Vartanian said, “Iranian role in saving Armenian cultural heritage, especially monuments, remains to be precious and is an indication of altruism and practicing divine teachings and Iran’s ancient culture.”
