Egypt aware of Iran’s regional significance, says Cairo

As a big and vast regional nation, Iran remains to be an influential country, Ahmed Abu Zeid Spokesperson of Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs was quoted as saying during an interview with Egypt’s state radio.

We are well aware of Iran’s significance and influence in the region, Abu Zeid was quoted as saying.

Egypt determines and analyzes its relations with Iran based on standards set for mutual ties, the regional conditions, and the role played by Iran in the region.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has always said that it works towards creating peace and stability in the region and fighting terrorism with the help and cooperation of the countries in the region.
