He made the remarks in the 5th congress of Followers of Islamic Revolution Society.
Rezaei added that the confrontation has important and special characters and its aim is future of the region.
Result of the confrontation is determining for Iran and the US, he added.
Rezaei went no to say that the Americans were deployed in the region after World War II and substituted Britain and on the pretext of defending the region against communism they plundered oil and gas of the region and installed their weapon market here to guarantee Israel's security.
He said that this confrontation is serious.
'The Americans tried to control our nuclear progress and stop us in this way. The new governing team of the US is saying that by controlling Iran's nuclear work it is not possible to cease Iran's progress,' Rezaei added.
'Economy is our point of vulnerability,' Rezaei said, adding, 'It is not only economy, but other domains such as media and terrorism are also important.'
