Abdul Razak Dawood said that he is trying to enhance trade relations between Pakistan and regional countries.
He added that the government is currently working to formulate a five-year textile and cotton policy to promote trade.
Abdul Razak said that Pakistani Prime Minister’s upcoming visit to China will be crucial because during the visit discussions will be held in all areas, including China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects.
Leaders of Iran and Pakistan have already agreed to enhance bilateral trade volume to $ 5 billion within next five years. The current volume between Iran and Pakistan stands at $ 1.3 billion.
Meanwhile, Iran's exports to Pakistan in the first quarter of the current Iranian year (March 21-June 20) of the current year (started on March 21) rose by 61 percent as compared to the figure in the same period of the previous year, according to available statistics.
While bilateral trade between Iran and Pakistan on non-oil products has also witnessed a significant growth of 19.7 percent during the last six months.
