Diplomatic efforts complete Resistance Movement's victories

Attending a press conferene after his meeting with Lebanese foreign minister, Velayati described the meeting as good and 'constructive', he said that ever since Jibran Basil has taken the helm of the country's foreign ministry, Lebanese foreign policy has become more active and vital.

Stabilizing achievement of the Resistance Movement in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon requires diplomatic efforts and diplomatic measures will complete Jihadi actions taken by the Resistance Movement fighters in Iraq, Lebanon and Syria in recent months, he said.

Velayati also described recent diplomatic developments including Iran-Russia-Azerbaijan Summit, Iraqi prime minister's visit to Iran and presence of Hamas delegation in Tehran as moves in line with the diplomatic attempts undertaken to establish achievements made in the battlefields.

Asked whether Russian Resident Vladimir Putin's visit to Tehran took place in line with strengthening the Resistance Movement, he said that undoubtedly the Russian government and President Assad have played major role in recent achievements of the Resistance Movement.

Referring to flying of the Russian fighters over Iran and Iraq's territories to bomb Takfiri groups' positions in Syria concurrent with Putin's presence in Tehran, Velayati said that the significant issue is indicative of proximity between Iran and Russia in the fight against terrorism and Takfiri groups.
