Britons protest to US missile strikes on Syria

Protestors chanted slogans such as ‘Stop Bombing Syria’, ‘End War and Killing’, while they were holding aloft banners reading , ‘No to Trump, No to War’, ‘Hands off Syria’, ‘Shame on May’ and ‘Shame on Trump’.

Head of the civilian campaign ‘Coalition of Stopping War’ told IRNA on the sidelines of the gathering, “We are here to denounce US missile strike on Syrian late on Thursday.”

Noting that the move will make no help to solve Syria’s problem, he added that US military move is not legally-binding and it was not approved by the US and Congress.

The move is the worst type of reaction to chemical attack in Syria and it will only add to the dimensions of the crisis, he said.

The British prime minister’s support to Donald Trump administration is shameful. Trump is the most racist president of the US. He banned the Syrians travelling to the and now he has bombed the country, a move voiding of legality.

A political activist among the protestors, Naz Salim said that the military attack will increase the number of deaths in Syria.

UK prime minister hastily supports Trump and this is shameful, she said.

Reports have it that US military intervention in the region has left behind huge casualties, as some 1,500 civilians were killed in Iraq and Syria during the US-led attack in March alone, she said.

Another member of the civilian campaign ‘Coalition of Stopping War’ said that some claim US coalition will improve the situation but the acts will ramp up tensions in the region.

Last night’s attack killed nine, he said, noting, “We believe that military solution will achieve no result and only diplomatic solution will resolve Syrian crisis.”

The anti-war activist further noted that May hastily supports US President Trump and she helps cover up his scandals.

“We are here to make sure that May’s administration understands we are against racist and Islamophobic policies.”

“We will never allow Trump to move in London’s street during his visit to the capital by blocking the streets,” he said.

Other protestors also condemned US missile attack on Syria and London’s support to it, warning heightening of tensions between Moscow and Washington and eruption of a global crisis.

During the gathering, pamphlets calling on the people to stop working and join in protests while Trump visits London.

US’ first aggression on Syrian Army’s positions under Donald Trump began on early Friday morning by launching 59 missiles at Shayrat Airfield in Homs province.

According to foreign media reports, two US warships in the Mediterranean Sea fired 59 Tomahawk missiles intended for a single target - Shayrat Airfield in Homs province in western Syria, the US Defense Department said.

The missile attack was carried out without permission from UN Security Council and the US Congress.

Syria strongly denies any role in Idlib chemical attack.

Syrian military forces are fighting against Daesh terrorists in the east of Homs province and the Takfiri group, formerly known as al-Nusra Front, in north of the country.
