The European Conference of Iranology, one of the largest conferences in Europe, is held once in every four years, according to the website of the Free University of Berlin.
Persian literature, Iranian philosophy, history, religious studies, cultural studies, arts and archaeology and anthropology are among the most important issues of the ninth conference.
The European Institute of Iranology which is hosting the conference, was founded in 1983 with the support of the European Scientific Foundation, aimed at promoting, developing and supporting Iranian studies in ancient, middle and modern times.
It is also active in the field of Iranian studies in the areas of linguistics, literature, religion, arts, history, archaeology, philosophy, ethnology, geography, humanities and theoretical knowledge.
