Belarusian Grand Mufti hails Iranian parliament

Shabanovic made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Belarus Mustafa Oveisi in Minsk.

He also commemorated the victims of the terror attacks in Tehran and signed a memorial book opened in the Iranian Embassy in Belarus.

Condemning the inhuman terrorist attack in Tehran which claimed several lives, the Grand Mufti said,” We as the representatives of Belarusian Muslim community have attended here to show our solidarity with the Iranian nation.”

Emphasizing the need for forging unity among all Muslims across the world, he said the deviant idealogy of Wahhabism is supporting Daesh terrorists financially and spiritually.

Shabanovic also emphasized the need for sincere international efforts to uproot terrorism across the world.

He also sympathized with the bereaved families of the victims and Iranian people and prayed for the martyrs’ souls to rest in peace and for the immediate recovery of the injured.

Earlier on Wednesday (June 7), twin simultaneous attacks hit the Iranian parliament and Mausoleum of Imam Khomeini in the south of Tehran, killing 17 and wounding 52 more.

The terrorist group of Daesh (the ISIS terrorist group) has claimed responsibility for the fatal attacks in Tehran.
