'China opposes any bans and pressure on Iran and has always been against unilateral sanctions on other countries,' Hua Chunying told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
'China and Iran have always preserved their trade exchanges and the two countries will continue cooperation according to the international protocols,' Chunying said while talking of the possibility of exit of the Western companies from Iran (Iran Deal) after the US unilateral withdrawal from it.
About the Iran Deal formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Chunying said China has over and over declared its stance on the nuclear agreement transparently.
According to a report released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi at a joint press conference held on June first in Brussels with the European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said, '... China believes that no agreement can be perfect and that only one agreement cannot solve all problems. The correct choice is that all sides discuss new changes in the development of the situation and new issues of common concern through equal consultation ….'
As Chunying told IRNA, China believes that adherence to the international agreements is a basic principle in the international laws.
She added that the big powers should be the epitome [not violator] of faithfulness to the international agreements.
US President Donald Trump announced his decision about the Iran Deal on May 8 and withdrew his country unilaterally from the international agreement. Many world powers, including Russia, China, and the European Union (EU) are against Trump's decision.
