Bashar al-Assad congratulates Iranian envoy on Syria victories

Speaking in a meeting with Boroujerdi in Damascuss on Wednesday, Syrian president said, 'We should congratulate Iran on the victories in Syria since they were achieved by Iran's support.'

During the meeting, Boroujerdi also congratulated Syria's victories especially liberation of Aleppo.

The economic capital of Syria was liberated on December 23 after four years of occupation by terrorists.

Alaeddin Boroujerdi is in Damascus at the head of a parliamentary delegation to hold talks with Syrian officials.

The delegation is scheduled to hold meetings with Syrian high-profile officials, including Speaker of the People's Council of Syria Hadiya Khalaf Abbas, Syrian Prime Minister Imad Khamis and the Foreign Minister Walid Muallem.
