Armenian Min.: Late Imam a charismatic figure

Sargsyan made the remarks in Tehran on the sidelines of a ceremony to pay tribute to the late Imam in his mausoleum.

Sargsyan said, The late Imam was a great character and I knew him, when I was young.'

Sargsyan arrived in Tehran on Monday evening at the invitation of Iran’s Defense Minister, Hossein Dehqan, for a three-day visit.

Simultaneously with historical day of arrival of the late Imam Khomeini to Iran, the Armenian minister laid wreath on his grave and paid tribute to the late Imam.
