Armenia president calls for improvement of ties with Iran

According to the official website of Armenian president, Sargsyan said in his message, “I am confident that during your tenure in office, the friendly neighborly Iran will continue to develop upward, bringing its considerable and important contribution to the regional peace and stability.”

“I am hopeful that through our joint efforts, the traditionally warm and friendly Armenian-Iranian relations will continue to develop and strengthen in all areas, registering a qualitatively new level of cooperation between our peoples.”

“I wish you excellent health and success in all your undertakings, and I wish lasting peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Iran,” reads the congratulatory message of the President of Armenia.

Hassan Rouhani, gaining 57 percent of totall votes, was re-elected as the new president of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the 12th presidential election held on Friday.
