Talking to IRNA. sources confirmed that death toll from Friday twin terrorist blasts in Parachinar is over 100 now as some of those injured are said to be in critical conditions.

Hundreds of protesters offered their Eid prayers wearing black armbands in the market in Parachinar, where the bombs tore through crowds of shoppers on Friday, local officials said.

Protesters urged Pakistan government and army for more security measures for Shia community in the country.

Parachinar, capital of Kurram Agency tribal area in NW of Pakistan with 50,000 population, is a mainly Shia town which had already suffered two deadly bomb blasts in its markets earlier this year.

In January this year a bomb blast killed 24 people in a Parachinar market. The attack claimed by the Daesh-linked terrorist group “Lashkar-i-Jhangvi al-Alami“ .

In March, a second attack in another market killed 22 people. The attack was claimed by the Jamaatul Ahrar.

Friday's assault ─ also claimed by Daesh-likned terrorist group “Lashkar-i-Jhangvi al-Alami” ─ brought the town's loss of life due to terror attacks up to almost 150, more than any other city in Pakistan has suffered so far this year.

The Parachinar blasts were the deadliest in a series of militant attacks across Pakistan Friday which killed at least 120 people, unnerving citizens ahead of Eid.

In Quetta at least 14 people including 10 policemen were killed in a blast targeting police that was claimed by both Daesh group and the Jamaatul Ahrar, and in Karachi four policemen were killed in a drive-by shooting as they opened their fast at a roadside restaurant.
