Amano reappointed IAEA director-general

After the appointment, Chairman of IAEA Board of Governors Tebogo Seokolo issued a statement saying, “Today the Board of Governors re-appointed by acclamation the current Director General, Mr. Yukiya Amano, to a further term of office for four years, from December 1, 2017 to November 30, 2021.”

“The Board extended to Mr. Amano its congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of his re-appointment,” Seokolo said.

The appointment will be before the General Conference for its approval at its next regular session in September.
