AEOI: Trump's anger over JCPOA shows Iran’s success

'Trump described the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action as worst agreement in the US history and this shows that JCPOA has been beneficial for Iran,' Kamalvandi said on Tuesday, addressing a ceremony in the northeastern city of Mashhad.

'Since Trump's coming to power in the US, the debates over JCPOA have increased in international circles which shows the importance of the nuclear agreement,' he added.

Earlier, Kamalvandi said his country is monitoring the conditions in Washington to see if the new US administration would opt for compliance with the nuclear deal or confrontation with Tehran.

“At present, the other side (the US) has the two options of interaction or confrontation but undoubtedly, the other side cannot decide about the results and consequences of any measure,” Kamalvandi said.

'Every one should come to consider this point in his/her calculations that the Islamic Republic of Iran will have reactions appropriate to the behavior and performance of the other side,' he added.

Kamalvandi warned that if the path of confrontation is selected by the US, Tehran would show a reaction that would make Washington regret its deed.
