The conference was initiated by Tawakkol Karman, Yemeni activist and 2011 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate in Turkey, AFP reported.
During her speech, Karman urged Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to end 'unconstructive interference in Yemen and stop supporting terrorist groups and armed militias as well as mercenaries who have assassinated Yemenis in Aden and Taez.'
The participants in the conference stressed the need for establishing an international tribunal to investigate the crimes committed against Yemenis.
Along the same lines, Amnesty International warned last week of the continued clashes in al-Hudaydah, announcing the lives of civilians in the region are in grave danger.
Over the past three and a half years, Saudi Arabia has been involved in a bloody war in Yemen; an arbitrary action which has resulted in nothing but claiming the lives of thousands of innocent people, displacing million others and grave humanitarian conditions.
Riyadh is waging the war under the pretext of restoring power to the ousted Riyadh-friendly president Mansour Hadi.
