
Rouhani's presidential decree was endorsed by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Thursday in Imam Khomeini Husseinieh while the inauguration ceremony is scheduled to be held in Majlis (parliament) on Saturday with high-ranking officials from 92 countries in attendance.
British Minister for the Middle East and North Africa Alistair Burt, Senegalese Minister of Culture and Communications Mankor Injeai , Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Irlan Abdeldayev, Gambian Vice Speaker Mohammed Saneh Nayeb, Ghana Vice Speaker Alban Samana, President of Spanish Senate Pio Garcia-Escudero and Lebanese Parliamnet Speaker Nabih Berri are among the latest guests arriving in the capital to attend the inauguration.
In addition to the above official, President of Bosnian Parliamentary Assembly Sefat Saftich, South Korean National Assembly Speaker Chung Sye-Kyun, Pakistan Senate Chairman Reza Rabbani, Secretary General of Inter-Parliamentary Union Saber Salim Chaudhry and Syrian President Emad Khamis are in Tehran to participate in Rouhani’s oath taking ceremony.
Malaysian Parliament Speaker Tan Sri Mulia, President of Moldova Igor Dodon, Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, Letsie III of Lesotho and Niger President Yahya Omar are among the other high-ranking officials arrived in the capital on Thursday to attend the ceremony.
President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of North Korea Kim Yong-nam, Swaziland Prime Minister Barnabas Sibusiso Dlamini, Ugandan Deputy Prime Minister Moses Ali, Madagascar parliament Speaker Jean Max Rakotomamonjy, Speaker of Tanzania National Assembly Job Yustino Ndugai also entered Tehran on Thursday for the ceremony.
Eight presidents, 19 parliament speakers and prime ministers, seven vice speakers, 11 foreign ministers and 35 special envoys are slated to take part in Rouhani’s inauguration.
Meanwhile, 12 deputy foreign ministers, six chairmen of parliamentary friendship groups and two chairmen of foreign policy commissions are present in the upcoming event.
The inauguration ceremony will be held in the parliament where Rouhani is expected to propose his 18-members cbinet for a vote of confidence on the same day.
