Tehran, Prague are complementary to each other

Addressing Iran-Czech Commercial Conference, attended by 130 economic activists in Prague late on Monday, he added that trade history of the two countries dates back to the 16th century, noting that mutual cooperation can benefit both nations.

“In view of Iran’s economic capacities, both countries can promote their ties to higher levels,” he said, noting that the country boasts of huge energy sources and high capacities for economic collaboration.

Maladak further noted that both sides can cooperate in different fields such as industrial machinery and energy. Not to mention that they can invest in each other’s countries, he added.

The event is attended by Head of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, Masoud Khansari, Czech Minister of Industry and Trade, Yan Mladek, and Head of Industries Confederation, Yaroslav Hanak, and Head of Chamber of Commerce, Vladimir Dlouhi, and over 100 Czech economic activists.

The Iranian delegation, comprising Iranian economic activists headed by Khansari arrived in Czech Republic on Sunday.

Khansari is scheduled to confer with his Czech counterpart, Vladimir Dlouhi, and Head of Industries Confederation, Yaroslav Hanak.

Following implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the number of economic delegations arriving in Iran has increased remarkably, said Khansari, adding that Iran has hosted over 200 foreign delegations after
the implementation of the nuclear deal.

The two countries’ exchanges reached 59.139 million dollars in the past months, up by 25 percent compared to the figure for the corresponding period last year.

Iranian economic delegation will leave Czech Republic for Denmark later on.
